A Project Born from the Collaboration Between WeArePAU, Kolaps Agency, and KOMUNIKI
CreaConnect is a web project built on the WordPress platform, designed to connect creatives, designers, and professionals on a single collaborative platform. The concept was conceived by @WeArePau and developed with the creative contribution of the @Kolaps Agency community, which was also responsible for the entire UX/UI design.
5 European Hackathons
CreaConnect is a project co-funded by the European Union that promotes innovation, sustainability, and social inclusion in an international, collaborative context. The initiative takes place through 5 European hackathons, participatory events where people with different backgrounds come together to tackle challenges related to public space and collective wellbeing.
The planned hackathons are:
- Hackathon 1 – Florence, Italy (2025): Data-driven tourism transformation
- Hackathon 2 – Marseille, France (2025): Women’s wellbeing in public space
- Hackathon 3 – Barcelona, Spain (2026): Bringing nature back into shared spaces
- Hackathon 4 – Brussels, Belgium (2026): Building social bonds through space
- Hackathon 5 – Belgrade, Serbia (2027): Social justice in public space
Each event is organized by local organizations such as Lama, Friche la Belle de Mai, PAU, Pali Pali, and Nova Iskra, and contributes to building a fairer, more collaborative Europe through design, technology, and social innovation.
KOMUNIKI’s Role in WordPress Development
The technical and digital build of the site was carried out by Nicola Mostallino through the KOMUNIKI project, which turned the ideas and design mockups into a functional, optimized platform, thanks to:
- Custom WordPress development tailored to the project
- Responsive implementation for seamless mobile browsing
- On-page SEO optimization for visibility on Google
- Integration of the Figma design into web format
Responsive, Mobile-First Design
One of the key aspects of the project was ensuring smooth browsing across all devices, particularly smartphones. Thanks to the mobile-first approach, every section of the site was designed to:
- Automatically adapt to screens of any size
- Maintain visual consistency and brand identity
- Optimize performance for fast, intuitive browsing
Design and UX Crafted Down to the Last Detail
The design was created by Kolaps Agency using professional tools such as Figma, following criteria such as:
- Visual accessibility and readability
- Intuitive user experience (UX)
- Graphic consistency with CreaConnect’s visual identity
KOMUNIKI turned these prototypes into code, preserving the graphic precision, usability, and lightness of the website.
SEO Optimization for an Effective Online Presence
Thanks to on-page SEO optimization, every page of the CreaConnect project is:
- Properly indexable by search engines
- Structured with consistent heading tags (H1, H2, H3)
- Equipped with text, alt tags, and meta tags optimized for visibility
