Eshop WooCommerce per Petit Gaudí, Bottega di artigianato locale

A project born from the collaboration between Petit Gaudí and KOMUNIKI

Petit Gaudí is an e-commerce of iconic craftsmanship inspired by Gaudí and Catalan modernism: personal and corporate gifts, workshops and experiences with real artisans, all with the Barcelona brand seal. The project stems from the vision of its owner, Iván Muñoz Rivero — a craftsman of typical Catalan products and an excellent graphic designer — who created all the design and usability. KOMUNIKI handled the entire technical side: WordPress and WooCommerce development, migration, optimization and SEO positioning as a local craft shop.

Petit Gaudí: an e-commerce of iconic, imperfect craftsmanship

Petit Gaudí is not a souvenir shop like so many others. It’s a digital refuge for craftsmanship that gives value to real craft: pieces such as the Trencadís Puzzle, the limited-edition Gaudí 2026 Medal or the traditional aluminium signs coexist with workshops, experiences and the Petit Comité, the Club of the 25 artisan trades. A project where every piece and every name matter, and where technology must serve the story.

KOMUNIKI’s role in the technical development

Just as an artisan works raw material, I worked the technical side of the site: behind a polished design you need a solid structure that can handle sales, catalogue and growth. I took charge of the whole infrastructure so that Iván could focus on his craft.

  • Custom WordPress development, faithful to the design provided by the owner
  • Complete WooCommerce e-commerce: catalogue, variable products, cart and checkout
  • Domain migration and go-live with no loss of ranking
  • On-page SEO optimization for positioning as a local craft shop
  • Technical consulting on factors for the site’s continuous improvement

Domain migration and go-live

One of the most delicate phases was the domain migration and the launch of the new site. I managed it with care for every detail to ensure:

  • Continuity of SEO positioning with no drop in traffic
  • Correct redirection of URLs and content structure
  • Stability and speed of the site from day one online

A tailor-made WooCommerce e-commerce

The heart of the project is the online store. I built and optimized the eshop in WooCommerce to make it simple for the client and convenient for the buyer:

  • Clear product pages, with VAT-inclusive prices and manageable variants
  • Common payment methods: Bizum, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PayPal and bank transfer
  • A smooth buying journey, from catalogue to cart to checkout
  • Independent management of products, orders and customer area

SEO optimization as a local craft shop

Existing online is not enough: you have to be found by the right people. I set up the on-page SEO strategy to position Petit Gaudí as a local craft shop in Barcelona, working on:

  • A coherent heading structure (H1, H2, H3) and indexable content
  • Meta title, meta description and alt tags optimized for visibility on Google
  • Keywords focused on local craftsmanship and the Gaudí/modernism universe

Technical consulting for continuous improvement

Beyond development, I supported the client with advice on technical factors to grow the site over time: performance, user experience, good maintenance practices and optimizations to keep the eshop fast, secure and well positioned.

Design and usability, created by Iván Muñoz Rivero

The credit for the visual language belongs entirely to the owner: Iván Muñoz Rivero, artisan and graphic designer, created the identity and usability of Petit Gaudí. KOMUNIKI turned that vision into a functional, fast and optimized e-commerce, respecting every graphic detail. A collaboration where the artisan’s craft and the technical craft came together to bring an authentic project to life.
