Is your website optimized for AI? Google is now measuring it
Being fast on Google is no longer enough. Today your website also needs to be readable by AI engines, and Google has just made this shift official.

What Is Agentic Navigation?

Google has added a fifth metric to PageSpeed Insights called Agentic Navigation. It sits alongside the classic metrics — Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO — with an important new addition: it measures whether AI agents can read, understand, and navigate your site on their own.
Agents like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini are increasingly used by people to do research, find services, and make decisions. If your site isn’t structured to be understood by these platforms, you simply don’t exist for them.

Why Does It Matter for Your Business?

User behavior is changing. More and more people aren’t searching on Google by typing keywords: they ask an AI a question and trust the answer. If your site isn’t optimized for this kind of automated reading, you lose visibility — even if your traditional SEO is perfect.
Agentic Navigation assesses:

  • Whether content is structured clearly and semantically
  • Whether key information is easily identifiable
  • Whether the site is accessible without technical barriers for AI crawlers

How Is Your Site Scored?

You can check it for free on PageSpeed Insights. Enter your site’s URL and look at the score in the Agentic Navigation section: the ideal result is 3/3.
Komuniki’s website, for example, achieves an average of 98.25 and 3/3 in Agentic Navigation, a result that requires attention to content structure, speed, and the technical quality of the pages.

What to Do If Your Site Isn’t Optimized

Some concrete actions:

  • Structure content with clear headings (H1, H2, H3)
  • Use structured data (Schema.org) to help AI interpret the information
  • Remove technical blockers that prevent automated reading of content
  • Write clear, direct text, without ambiguity

SEO no longer just means ranking on Google. It means being found, understood, and cited by the AI systems that now guide users’ choices. Agentic Navigation is the first official sign that this shift is already underway.
