Case Study: Recovery and Restructuring of the MYAA WordPress Website

The international architecture studio MYAA, with offices in Barcelona, London, Riyadh, Baku, and Tripoli, underwent a major website restructuring to improve its functionality and fix technical issues caused by external factors. The project was built on WordPress, with a focus on self-management, multilingual accessibility, and optimization for managing collaborations on a global scale.

1. Recovery from Technical Issues

Initially, the site was recovered from a serious technical issue that was affecting its functionality. This process included:

  • Fixing the errors that were blocking access to the site.

  • Restoring performance to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted user experience.

    2. Complete Restructuring on WordPress

The site was completely rebuilt using WordPress, a platform that lets the client manage their own content independently. The main features of the restructuring include:

    • Project Portfolio: A dynamic, easily updatable section, allowing the MYAA team to add new projects and update existing ones.

    • Self-Manageable Design: Thanks to WordPress, the client can now make changes without needing technical intervention, keeping the site flexible over time.

      3. Multilingual Implementation

Given the international scale of the studio, the site was translated into several languages, making it easier for clients around the world to access it. This approach allows MYAA to communicate effectively with partners and clients across multiple continents.

      4. Collaboration Form for Recruitment

Given the need to handle numerous collaboration requests worldwide, a comprehensive form was integrated for recruitment purposes, including:

      • Custom questions to better understand candidates’ skills and experience.

      • File uploads for CVs, portfolios, and other documents useful for evaluating collaborators in a detailed and efficient way.

        5. Technical and SEO Optimization

Optimizations were implemented to improve loading speed, responsiveness, and SEO indexing, ensuring better visibility on Google and smooth browsing on any device.

        6. Speed and Loading Time Optimization

A key aspect of the restructuring was speed optimization for the site, ensuring fast loading times and a smooth user experience. Several technical improvements were implemented, resulting in outstanding scores from Google PageSpeed Insights. Among the most significant optimizations:

        • Image compression to reduce file size without compromising quality.

        • Advanced caching to speed up server response times.

        • Minification of CSS, JavaScript, and HTML to reduce the number of bytes loaded.

        • Database optimization to improve query management and reduce data access times.

        • Use of a CDN (Content Delivery Network) to distribute content more efficiently on a global scale.

These interventions resulted in the MYAA site achieving high scores in Google’s speed tests, improving overall performance and user experience on both mobile and desktop devices.

          Key Results:

          • Full site recovery from serious technical issues.

          • Content management independence for the client.

          • Global access thanks to translation into multiple languages.

          • Optimal collaboration management with an advanced, customizable form.

[95
["post-1953","avada_portfolio","type-avada_portfolio","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","portfolio_category-architecture

WordPress: Rescue and Digital Overhaul of the MYAA Website

<meta name="description" content="MYAA: an international architecture studio's website, optimized on WordPress.
